North Ringwood Pre-School.

Important Notice:

Dear North Ringwood Families,

It is with great excitement that the NRPS Committee of Management and Teachers

would like to inform you of the following events.

Bush Kinder will be recommencing on Wednesday the 27th and Thursday the 28th of May. Drop off will still be at the Kinder and children will be walking to their Bush Kinder site to have a snack during the morning. Please make sure that all children are wearing sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing on these days. Also please ensure that your child has a rain coat, if possible gum boots and a change of clothes that fit and are weather appropriate.

Currently there are no active COVID-19 cases in Maroondah and all surrounding areas have remained stable for the past three weeks which is extremely positive. Well done everyone for helping keep the Community safe. So as to continue the positive direction the Community is heading with regard to infection rates the Teachers at NRPS will continue to adhere to their comprehensive COVID-19 risk management strategies and we would ask that all families continue to follow these strategies at drop off and pick up times. All families attending Kinder are reportedly being extremely respectful of the Kinder Community and Teachers with their adhering of these responsibilities, so thank you all so much.

We would also like to inform you that Briony Sawtell has been permanently appointed into the Red Wattlebirds Teacher and Eastern Spinebills Educator position she has been Acting in this Term.

Thank you to all families for continuing to stay connected to the Kinder community and for all of the measures you have been taking to continue to keep our Kinder community well during this pandemic.

Our Pre-School is located in residential North Ringwood, next door to a fully maintained & functional council park which sometimes serves as an extension of the Kindergarten for families before and after Pre-School sessions.

We are extremely proud of our Pre-School and its facilities. We are a well resourced centre and form a part of the Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten Association (MIKA).

The program we offer is indoor and outdoor, and based on supporting children to learn through play at their own pace, in a safe and secure (and fun!) environment.

Our Educators work hard to ensure that all our kinder children feel respected, confident, and a valued part of our close-knit community.

Our Pre-School is managed by a Committee Of Management, made up of parents from the Pre-School, who volunteer their time and experience to oversee the financial, legal, social, and facility maintanence of the Preschool.

Our Committee Of Management is guided by Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA - formerly know as KPV). The Committee Of Management is elected at the Kinder's Annual General Meeting & Information Night held in November of each year.

Many of our children move on to North Ringwood Primary School, Park Orchards Primary School and Holy Spirit Community School.

Thank you!

A huge THANK YOU to Maroondah City Council for a generous grant. This grant has enabled us to provided our Children with appropriate wet weather clothing - keeping them dry, warm and happy during our bush Kinder sessions.
